General Description
This is a part time position focusing on providing administrative support for the Data Resource Manager, Information & Referral and Long Term Care Staff.

  • Provides administrative support for the Information & Referral Department, specifically the Data Resource Manager.
  • Use of personal computer with processing software for reports, articles, spreadsheets, newsletters, manuals and other materials as assigned.
  • Edits, proofreads and types correspondence, reports, memoranda and other documents.
  • Provides administrative support for the Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Long Term Care Department Incoming Faxes/Referrals.
  • Maintains a filing system for updates pertaining to the Information and Referral Database.
  • Assists with mail outs for Agency updates, which includes printing organizational information, preparing letters and envelopes.
  • Assists with Agency updates via email.
  • Provides follow-ups with organizations regarding update requests.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation with activities associated with the Information and Referral Database.
  • Performs project research through the Internet and other sources.
  • Provides back-up coverage to handle main telephone lines, opening and distribution of mail and other duties related to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge
  • Advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database skills including Microsoft products.
  • Ability to type correctly 60 words per minute.
  • Ability to pay careful attention to detail with excellent knowledge of grammar and spelling.
  • Ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to relate positively to older individuals, the general public, Agency and community representatives.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations.
  • Pleasant and clearly understandable telephone voice.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 10 pounds.
  • Ability to operate computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for more than one hour at a time.
  • Ability to bend and stoop in order to file and shelve.
